Clearleap and IBBS Partner to Support Advanced IP Video Services for Television Service Providers

Clearleap is announcing a partnership with IBBS, a provider of data, voice and technical support services to broadband providers. This is good news for service providers: Clearleap supplies advanced television services and IBBS provides network and bandwi

Duluth, GA(19 Oct 2011)

Clearleap and IBBS today announced a partnership to provide new options and greater dependability for operators to differentiate their offerings with advanced video content. The companies have entered into a reseller agreement and a support services agreement.

First, under a reseller agreement, IBBS will offer Clearleap's Stream On Demand Solution to its broadband provider customers.  This vendor combination will allow operators to enrich their video content offerings while strategically managing network dynamics and content delivery. The Clearleap offering gives IBBS customers a superior choice for video service and a new tool to compete against over-the-top providers and paid streaming services.

In addition, Clearleap has tapped IBBS for network management support which will enable Clearleap to maintain optimal performance, achieve high service levels with proactive 24/7 monitoring and deliver a quality experience to operators that implement Clearleap's Stream On Demand content delivery solution. Leveraging IBBS' network management expertise, Clearleap can assist operators in deploying on demand video services in as little as four weeks.

Partnership Helps Operators Gain Competitive Edge

As consumer appetite for bandwidth-intensive services such as over-the-top video continues to increase, service providers are experiencing unprecedented network pressures. Many operators find their businesses at a disadvantage due to limited on demand offerings. Paid streaming services and over-the-air HDTV are eroding cable market share and leading to subscriber churn.

Using Clearleap's Stream On Demand solution, operators can quickly roll out new services and content to subscribers on any Internet-connected TV or device. Stream On Demand leverages Clearleap's cloud-based platform to enable television service providers to stream essentially unlimited hours and titles over their existing broadband networks. The solution includes the necessary billing integration, authentication, and white label application to make the solution completely end-to-end for operators. With the addition of IBBS' service provisioning, service application, and new bandwidth management tools, cable operators of any size can beef up their services with "TV Anywhere" on demand offerings and be assured that their networks are well managed. Both Clearleap and IBBS provide 24/7 service to their customers, ensuring content delivery, day or night.

"An advanced, managed video offering is a key component to a comprehensive bandwidth management strategy," said Bob Hobbs, vice president of strategy and business development at IBBS. "As a result of our two companies working together, operators can improve their operations and become more competitive while managing network traffic demands. By offering our customers the advanced Clearleap solution, they can add content on demand, be assured that their networks are performing well and enhance the customer experience."

"IBBS' network management expertise helps us improve the delivery and dependability of our Stream On Demand solution," said Clearleap CEO Braxton Jarratt.  "This new partnership enables us to deliver a true end-to-end service with greater peace of mind. Operators can innovate, remain competitive and get the best of both worlds."

Clearleap Stream On Demand is a hosted solution that takes advantage of the proliferation of high-performance networks, tiered storage, and off-the-shelf monitoring tools and systems. To ensure high availability, Clearleap operates the service within several state-of-the-art data centers. Service providers tap into the wealth of content and upload their own content while maintaining the ability to direct local advertising campaigns. The joint IBBS/Clearleap solution also provides scalability, allowing operators to add services or expand geographically as needed.

IBBS and Clearleap will demonstrate Clearleap's Steam On Demand solution at the upcoming SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta, Ga. at booth #1515.
