2.35:1

A display aspect ratio used for cinematic display, also known as the Academy ratio. While movies can be displayed in any number of aspect ratios, television (and computer screens from 2011 onwwards) use the 16:9 (1.77:1) ratio. As such, anamorphic conversion is required between Academy and 16:9 or the telecine conversion must take advantage of pan and scan during the telecine conversion process.
