Virtuebroadcasting takes Inktomi tech

Virtuebroadcasting Ltd, a European broadband streaming provider, has deployed Inktomi streaming software to deliver and monitor online live programming to large-scale audiences.

The Inktomi MediaBridge software, MediaBridge ServerLink and BroadcastManager Suite software will be deployed throughout partner Interoute’s European network, according to the companies.

Steve Swastie, Inktomi European marketing manager, said: "This deal will enable Virtuebroadcasting to offer enhanced content level management and extra scaling functionality – as the company aims its service at both b2c and b2b clients, this should prove invaluable."

Virtuebroadcasting Ltd claims clients including EMI, CricInfo, J Sainsbury and Kingfisher.
