UK Ahead in Investor Relations Streaming
In a survey of FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 companies web sites, half of the companies in the FTSE 100 now employ webcasting. Of these, over 80 per cent are webcasting to investor audiences, with both live and on-demand briefings available, according to a report from UK-based Simplywebcast.
This compares favourably against the US, where only 30 per cent of the Fortune 100 companies have used video webcasting, although up to 60 per cent of US companies use some form of streaming media, such as audiocasting.
The report claims that about half of all companies are now using webcasting to communicate directly with investor audiences, confirming the medium as a key stakeholder communications channel.
