On2.com Expands Albany Area Office

On2.com (http://www.on2.com) announced the expansion of its engineering research and development facility in upstate New York.

The On2 Developer Tools division, which creates and develops the TrueMotion VP3 video compression and streaming technology, has had a presence in the Albany area for the last five years.

"With its innovative broadband network, On2 is creating the next generation of Internet technology," says Eric Ameres, senior vice president of engineering for On2.com. "We are making huge strides in video compression and streaming technology and are expanding our upstate engineering location both in physical space and personnel to accommodate our growth in research and development."

On2.com recently launched its first broadband site, On2Movies.com in February.
