Net Technologies (http://www.nette.com), the makers of phone-to-streaming technology called DoTell, announced its first round of financing.

Boston-based Freedom Securities Corporation led the round valued at up to $3 million. Steve Gottlieb, President and Founder of TVT Records, one of the largest independent record labels in the U.S., was also a participant.

"This first-round financing has come as a result of our longstanding andfruitful business relationships," said Lynda Meyer, Founder and CEO of NetTechnologies. "We now look forward to continuing with the development ofcutting edge Internet solutions for our clients and partners and leveragingthe value of innovative web products we've developed."

When it was first founded, Net Technologies was more of a web design company focusing on the financial sector. Now, its leading product is DoTell Interactive (http://www.dotell.com) which allows users to broadcast liveaudio messages on the Internet using any touch-tone telephone. This technology is also being implemented by Net Technologie's main competitor, TellSoft (http://www.tellsoft.com).

Steve Gottlieb from TVT Records sees technology as a great way to add streaming media content. "DoTell will enablethe 40 recording artists on my label to update their presence on the TVT website on a daily basis with a phone call from wherever they might be. It'sreally an elegant, ubiquitous and powerful communications tool."

Net Technologies also announced that Rober Yevich has been appointed to the Board of Directors. Yevich isboth Executive Vice President of Freedom Securities and President of TuckerAnthony. Steve Gottlieb, the Founder and President of TVT Records, has alsojoined the Board.

"That's just the beginning," said Meyer. "The possible applications forDoTell are unlimited, and we're looking at sectors beyond financial services-- entertainment, media, advertising and others."
