MarkeTVision and Steeplechase Media to Launch television.com

MarkeTVision Direct (http://www.mktv.com) and Steeplechase Media ( http://www.steeplechase.net) announced the acquisition of the domain "television.com" and a joint venture to develop the property.

As part of the deal, MarkeTVision will own 17.8% and Steeplechase Media will own 66.7% of Television.com, LLC. The original owner of the television.com domain, MikeO'Connor, will own 15.5%.

"We will be creating a portal for broadband content," said Larry Namer,Steeplechase media chairman and co-founder of E! Entertainment TelevisionInc., Movies USA Magazine, Comspan Communications and several other successfulentertainment ventures. "television.com will be a place where the Hollywoodcommunity can come with existing projects or new development ideas, providinga support system very much the way the studios now give support to independentproducers."

It will also have feature programming and content dedicated to television, showcase convergence and broadcast streaming video.
