Some of the free services under development include local and long-distance calling, voice messaging, videoconferencing, data collaboration and directory services similar so people can find other members quickly.

"visitalk.com represents a next-generation infrastructure companyempowering global communications," commented Michael Robertson, chairman andchief executive officer of MP3.com. "By associating with visitalk.com, weextend the communication possibilities from music to interactive voice, whichis a real win for MP3.com users."

"visitalk.com will help turn MP3.com into the Web's most interactive musicfestival," said Peter Thimmesch, chief executive officer of visitalk.com."The ability to videoconference or talk instead of typing a message bringsmusic fully alive for artists and fans. This partnership will enhance theservices already offered by MP3.com while helping expand visitalk.com's userbase."
