Kasenna and Burst.com Team Up

Kasenna (www.kasenna.com) said Monday it has partnered with Burst.com ( www.burst.com) to integrate server technologies.

According to a spokesperson however, this announcement deals with Kasenna's MediaBase server platform and not its new content delivery software, announced last week.

The companies say they will integrate Burst.com's Burstware Server with Kasenna's streaming media software platform. This means Kasenna users can benefit from Burst.com's accelerated delivery method.

Essentially, Burst.com delivers content faster than it can be played, and caches the extra data in a buffer. That means playback will be much smoother.

"Integration with Kasenna MediaBase brings powerful content management, content distribution and commerce capabilities to the Burstware Server," said Mike Moskowitz, vice president of business development of Burst.com. "This provides our customers with significant added value and enhanced control over their video and audio content."
