Pay TV network Ovation is launching TV everywhere service, and it's partnering with Kaltura to make it happen. Ovation is a pay TV channel devoted to the arts, while Kaltura has the first open source online video platform.

Besides broadcasting on DirecTV, Dish, Verizon FIOS, and AT&T U-verse, Ovation streams HD and SD video on its website and YouTube channel. As part of this agreement, Kaltura will manage that online distribution, offing a one-click access system to viewers. Kaltura will stream Ovation's content to mobile devices and connected TVs, then provide analytics to Ovation so the network can see what's working.

The integration will go deeper than just distribution, however. Ovation will use Kaltura for its entire video management workflow, including ingestion, editing, transcoding, and publishing.

"Kaltura's open video platform allows companies and organizations to do two things: work smarter internally, and connect in a smarter way with their audience. We are proud to be working with Ovation as in this case we're able to bring to bear both of these promises," says Shay David, co-founder and CRO of Kaltura, "By using our multi platform distribution options, Ovation can simplify internal workflows as well as make sure they reach every user on every device."
