CinemaNow and FILMSpeed Make Separate Movie Deals

Online movie sites CinemaNow (http://www.cinemanow.com) and FILMSpeed ( http://www.filmspeed.com) made separate deals today for promoting and adding more streaming movies to their respective web sites.

CinemaNow will use its alliance with Lions Gate Films to put first-run quality feature-length films on its site. Movies come from the merger between Lions Gate and Trimark Pictures, two independent movie studios.

CinemaNow currently has Internet distribution rights to more than 700 feature films with 200 of them currently available online.

CinemaNow CEO Curt Marvis said, "We've spent the last year building our business and strategically solidifying our relationships with technology providers and growing our network of consumer driven web destinations as a distributor of quality online films. Our alliance with Lions Gate strengthens our conviction that Internet delivery of feature films-on-demand will be a dynamic and rapidly growing business for us in the near future."

CinemNow's library includes more than 250 Trimark films, 400 Hong Kong action films from the Tai Seng library as well as its recently acquired libraries from Allied Artists and Salvation films at streaming rates up to 700k per second.

In a separate deal announced today, movie syndicator FILMSPEED said it signed an agreement with IMAX to distribute films online. The agreement will kick off with FILMSPEED's online promotion of Imax's latest feature, CyberWorld 3D, to be released in IMAX theatres this fall.

"Imax is always searching for fresh and innovative ways to promotethe Company's films,: said Michelle Hagen, Vice President of WorldWide Film Marketing, Imax Ltd. "FILMSPEED's Internet penetration willincrease CyberWorld 3D's exposure to untapped markets and attract new audiences for the IMAX theatre network."
