Cakewalk Releases Music Software for the iMac

Cakewalk (http://www.cakewalk.com), a music software company, announced the release of Cakewalk Metro SE for the iMac.

It is based on Cakewalk's Metro 5 professional recording software. Metro SE is designed to enable iMac users to start recording and mixing music on their computer.

"We discovered that other music software manufacturers were not addressing the needs of iMac users," said Michael Hoover, product manager, Cakewalk. "Metro SE offers these users an affordable, creative music production tool, that is simple enough for novice users to start recording, editing and mixing their own digital audio and MIDI tracks.""Metro SE supports Apple Sound Manager, external USB devices, and QuickTime Musical instruments," said Hoover. "Now users don't have to purchase additional audio hardware or other devices to start creating music with Metro SE."

Metro SE features an easy to use tape-recorder style interface, four digital audio tracks, VST and Adobe Premiere audio plug-ins, and more.

Metro SE is priced at $29 and will be available on January 15, 2000, exclusively by download at the Cakewalk web site.
