Bol.com Partners With MoodLogic

Bertelsmann Online's retail Web shop, bol.com has licensed music-browsing technology from MoodLogic ( www.moodlogic.com).

The MoodLogic technology allows for searching by mood, genre, or tempo, as well as searching for new songs or artists that "feel like" otherfavorites. The browsing system consults a database of music profiles, where each song has been classified in terms of 120 features by a listening panel that includes experts and consumers. The search results in a list of music to sample and buy.

"Not only does MoodLogic's easy-to-use music browser give our customers another way to explore our deep and diverse catalogue of artists, it means that they have more opportunities than ever to discover new music that's right for them," said Brad Askew, UK music director of bol.com in a statement.
