Blip and My Damn Channel Partner on Production and Sales

Pooling their resources, video creators Blip and My Damn Channel have announced a far-reaching partnership that will let them share original content and sales efforts.

My Damn Channel will create four original comedy series which will run concurrently on Blip and My Damn Channel. Two of the four will be David Wain’s “Wainy Days” and Steve Rannazzisi’s “Daddy Knows Best.”

The four series will show exclusively on My Damn Channel and Blip for 30 days before they’re distributed widely, including to YouTube.

My Damn Channel also announced that comedian Maria Bamford will launch a comedy series in May called “Ask My Mom!” in which Bamford will play both herself and her advice-giving mother. My Damn Channel didn’t say whether or not this will be one of the series shared with Blip.

As part of the partnership, Blip will distribute older My Damn Channel content from as far back as 2007, some of which hasn’t been shown on Blip before.

Both company’s sales teams will represent the shared content. They’re offering advertisers a combined unique monthly audience of nearly 40 million and the chance to target 18- to 34-year-old viewers.

Blip will hold its newfront presentation on May 1 in New York City.
