2nd Half of the Bundesliga Season Live on the Internet

The "Deutscher Fußball-Bund" (DFB = German Football Association) is launching a pilot project in association with the service provider ALTUS AG. To mark the 100th anniversary of the DFB, the Bundesliga is going to be available on the Internet. When the 2nd half of the season kicks off (4 February 2000) football fans world-wide will get the chance to enjoy full coverage of all matches of the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga live on the Internet. This will allow them to find out everything they want to know about the league via the portal http:// www.dfb.de with a link to http://www.bundesliga.de.

For each match fans can expect a radio report (live and as a round-up) complemented by a teleprinter, plus statistics and stills. In addition to that, a video round-up of the highlights will be available for each match. Plus, the top two matches will be webcast as live audio in English every week. Also, there will be live press conferences by the 36 clubs (audio and video), interviews with players and interactive options with fans in German and in English. The DFB has launched the Bundesliga web site in association with ALTUS Media GmbH, a subsidiary of ALTUS AG.

The Internet package is rounded off by "Live Bundesliga", an independent, cross-media magazine which continuously reports on the current situation at the clubs, with text, pictures, video and sound. Highlights of the magazine include interviews with players and managers, commentaries and reports, news and reports as well as special extras like audio-visual databases with full text searches and comprehensive statistics.
