Hulu Plus Moves to the Nintendo Wii
A partnership between the streaming service and game console is a win for both parties.

Hulu and the Wii game console both scored a win today, as Hulu Plus content is now available to Wii owners. For Hulu, this is an important new avenue for reaching America's living rooms. For Nintendo, it makes the Wii more than a gaming device and helps it compete with the Xbox and PlayStation.
Wii owners will need a $7.99 per month subscription to stream Hulu Plus content. To start service, they will visit the Wii Shop Channel and download the Hulu Plus app. Hulu is offering a two-week trial for new users. This offer will be available for one month, the company says.
Popular Hulu Plus shows include "Family Guy," "Glee," Community," and "Grey's Anatomy." A Hulu Plus subscription also brings access to hundreds of hours of Spanish-language programming from Univision, Galavision, and Telefutura.
"We want to be everywhere, on every screen where people want to watch their favorite shows and discover new ones on their own schedule. Wii is not only one of the most important entertainment devices in the living room, but one of the most heavily anticipated and requested platforms by users and subscribers," says Pete Distad, vice president of marketing and distribution at Hulu.
