Encoding.com Offers Five Presets for Roku
Content creators will now find it easier to format their videos for living room viewing.

Cloud video encoding company Encoding.com is reaching out to content creators that want their own Roku channel. The popular set-top boxes offer an open platform, allowing developers to use the Roku SDK to built free video-on-demand or subscription video channels. Now formatting video for those channels is a little easier, thanks to five presets from Encoding.com.
Encoding.com's Roku-compatible presets include one for HTTP adaptive bitrate live streaming and four MP4 versions (at 800, 1200, 1800, and 2700kbps). To use the presets, creators only need to choose their output version and a destination for encoded files. Files can then be sent to any location.
While Roku devices are mainly used to access Netflix, they provide over 300 free and paid channels.
