Gary began his roots in television in 1983, when he founded his syndication company, Genesis Entertainment.

Throughout his career, Gary has demonstrated a unique ability to predict the landscape ahead by developing innovative advertising and sponsorship models, which have become industry best practices.

At a time when less than 10 percent of pilots made it to series, Genesis was the only syndication company in TV history to launch 100 percent of the 17 total pilots it brought to the market. Genesis was the largest seller of syndication advertising units and at the height of its success when Gary sold Genesis to billionaire Ron Perelman's New World Entertainment.

In the 90's, Gary foresaw the consolidation of the TV syndication business and the potential influence of the Internet and broadband and boldly launched WorldNow with partner Bob Mischel in 1998.

Today, WorldNow is the leading provider of Web publishing, streaming video, strategic advertising and mobile solutions for more than 400 local media Web sites with more than 34M monthly unique visitors. WorldNow's video technology is utilized by almost 50 percent of all local news producing television stations.

Gary was honored, over 432 eligible competitors, as the winner of the prestigious Entertainment Entrepreneur of the Year award from Merrill Lynch, Ernst & Young and INC Magazine. He sits on the board of the Department of Neurosurgery at John Hopkins University Medical Center and was chosen by Wharton to participate in its Entrepreneur-in-Residence program, mentoring undergraduates and MBA candidates considering careers as entrepreneurs.
