"I never think of the future - it comes soon enough." -Albert Einstein

Einstein would not have thought about streaming media when he said this, but it's a good description of our industry today. Nevertheless, examining current trends in the technology and business of content helps us look into the future. Today, people are used to accessing content from any device or platform. The convergence that was a hype in the last decade is reality now. 2011 is being touted as the year of HTML5. Social media and UGC are parts of our daily lives.

All this means that we are about to master the content publishing challenge. Naturally, this sets the stage for the next challenge. From our experience, the market is looking beyond merely publishing rich media but interacting with it. There is also a need for online collaboration in content creation in the enterprise and prosumer areas, as people and companies move to the the cloud to store and share media.

We are far from democratizing digital storytelling and co-creation and this will be a major trend in 2012. In the traditional video workflow, content editing and post-production remained offline mostly due to the lack of suitable solutions like Mixmoov. Its customized, on-demand and on-premise solutions provide workflow-integrated online video editing to OVPS, OEMs, media agencies, websites and enterprises.

After focusing on publishing, the industry is evolving towards co-creating content and interacting with it - we are excited to be the leading contributors in this space.
