The students are hosting a contest for a "virtual fifth roommate"; the winner's photo will be enlarged to create a life-size cardboard cutout to sit among the furniture in the empty living room.
www.happy-wash.com: For those with cleaning fetishes, here's a view inside Happy Wash Lavomatique — a small laundromat situated in a residential area in Strasbourg, France. The camera rotates between two views inside the laundromat and is on from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. GMT. The brainchild of husband and wife team, Claude and Sylvie Bohnert, the site offers archives back to August 2000, highlighting the most exciting folding-and-sorting moments.
www.crime.com/info/jailcam.html: This site serves voyeurs who want to leer inside Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix, Arizona. After registering, onlookers get to choose from four Web cams: Men's Holding Cell, Pre-Intake, Search Cell and Holding Cell Area. Each camera view offers a description of what goes on in that particular area and gives a map for reference of where the cameras are located in the jail.
